SUMMER SELECTIONS

Osver settles into Greenwich Village in 1940 teaching at the Brooklyn Museum Art School and Columbia University.
In 1952 he is awarded the prestigious Prix de Rome and visits Italy and France numerous times during the decade - teaching at Yale University and the Copper Union in the late 1950s.
Osver and his wife Ernestine Betsberg settle in St. Louis in 1960 where he serves as Professor of Art at Washington University until 1981.
Best known for his early urban landscapes and his later colorful abstractions his works can be found internationally in museum, private and corporate collections.
